Irish low cost carrier Ryanair has announced that it will launch flights to and from the new Lublin Airport in Poland.
The move signifies an intensification of its direct competition with rival Wizz Air.
The budget carrier has revealed it will provide flights 3 times a week to London Stansted from December 18th, 2012 and twice weekly flights to Dublin from December 18th, 2012, becoming only the 2nd airline to announce services to the airport, which is still under construction.
Previously a military airstrip, Lublin Airport is being developed into a commercial airport with a single runway and a terminal with a capability of 1.1 million passengers per annum. Lublin airport is due to be completed in October 2012.
